    কনজুমারস এসোসিয়েশন অব বাংলাদেশ (ক্যাব)-এর সংগৃহীত ঢাকা শহরের ১৫টি বাজার ও বিভিন্ন সেবা-সার্ভিসের এর মধ্য থেকে ১১৪টি খাদ্যপণ্য, ২২টি নিত্য ব্যবহার্য সামগ্রি এবং ১৪টি সেবা সার্ভিসের তথ্য পর্যালোচনায় দেখা গেছে, সদ্য সমাপ্ত ২০১৪ সালে পণ্য মূল্য ও সেবা সার্ভিসের মূল্য বেড়েছে ৬ দশমিক ৩১ শতাংশ ও জীবনযাত্রার ব্যয় বেড়েছে ৬ দশমিক ৮২ শতাংশ।

    নগরের শিক্ষা, স্বাক্ষ্য, পয়োনিষ্কাশন, পরিবহনব্যবস্থা, পরিবেশসহ বিভিন্ন ক্ষেত্রে উচ্চবিত্ত, মধ্যবিত্ত ও নিম্নবিত্তের মধ্যে নাগরিক বৈষম্য দূর করতে হবে। কমাতে হবে নিম্নবিত্তের প্রতি আচরণবৈষম্যও। থাকতে হবে আইনি সুরক্ষা। এ জন্য সবার আগে প্রয়োজন রাজনৈতিক অঙ্গীকার ও নেতৃত্ব।
